Rissa Boo’s latest video gets chin checked
Rissa Boo’s music is two parts bad and one part good. The instrumentals are actually interesting and memorable, but are completely obliterated by what I hesitate to call lyrics. This whole fiasco can only be made worse by what sounds like a frog belting out these “lyrics” in a slightly accented voice. At this point I just need Rissa Boo to come better because frankly bad music doesn’t rank. Forget last place; you just need to give your music some space and reevaluate how you create it.
I love some elements of the imagery in this music video. The opening scenery coupled with the face paints and instrumentals really raised my expectations of what this music video had to offer (only to be disappointed later). With that being I said I still love the various locations used in the shooting since it all had the nitty-gritty feel that you were going for. I can definitely see the concept you had in mind for this video and the execution of the shoot was well done. The scenes transitioned well and the video effects were kept to a minimum and were well placed so congratulations on at least succeeding at this part.
The originality for this video is greatly lacking since we see these types of concepts all the time which further decreases the appeal of this video to possible hip hop and rap music lovers. I doubt the battle style moves will entice viewers to stay tuned in to this epic fail of an imitation video of classic Hip-Hop.
