Thie is a mellow song to ride to
Holding it down for the (206) is up and coming rapper Mic T. His latest video “Crusin’ ” features fellow rapper Big Will and is the first official single off his forthcoming album, Can’t Appraise Priceless. Here’s my $.02 and a 360 degree look at the video:
The Good – Mic T and Big Will do a decent job putting together laid back flows about one of my favorite pastimes, rolling down the strip with the top down and the ladies watching. The song’s hook is very catchy. I found myself humming its melody several times today. The clarity of the video is sharp and vibrant; director Jeremy Dubbs superior editing catches the eye. The transitions ride the beat like an emcee and flow perfectly.
The Bad – The only bad thing with this video is that it could have had more visual aids to support the theme of cruising in your car. The highway shots probably aren’t the best representation of cruising. I tend to speed more than cruise when I’m on the highway (and most of you reading this do too). Tighten the visual aids up on the next video and you’ll have me sold.
Overall – I like the feel of the track. It’s a great song to ride to with the top down and the chrome’s glare blinding spectators. The video is equally on point with only a few minor missteps. Do yourself a favor and go check it out. That’s my $.02. What’s yours?
