Christian Rock band 5to Angel has created a great video that captures the audience’s attention. “El Final” is a song that sounds like countless other rock songs but carries a deeper message. This message is emphasized by what we see in the visuals. Although the song is sung in Spanish, words are not needed to know what is being conveyed and to be affected by the theme of the video.
The vid starts out with the typical scenes of the band performing in a darkened room, singing and playing their instruments and thrashing around. Then there is the typical skateboard scene– but after that comes the interesting part. The assumed drug buy, the seller running from the police, and the police searching for the assumed dealer. But we soon learn that it’s not drugs being pushed, but Bibles. And we learn the cop searching for the “dealer” is no ordinary cop but a demonic being with one crazy, creeptastic eye. This all fits in perfectly with the Christian Rock theme of the song, and is all very captivating and hits home. Again, even though I had no clue what was being sung in the song because I don’t speak Spanish, I was still able to get the general gist of it and still was affected by the visuals. And the music was good too– it’s obvious that the members of the band are very talented. The guitar playing and singing were both on point.
I found the video for “El Final” to be enjoyable and the music good to listen to. The story-line and the creepy cop kept my attention. Some people may feel that Christian Rock is not their thing, but this vid is worth checking out!
