Swift Bundi has a serious spit game. Don’t believe me? Check out his latest, “Jealousy”, which will give you all the evidence that you’ll need to come to the same conclusion as I. His “sometimes my words rhyme, sometimes they don’t” style suits him well and works efficiently with his flow.
Swift’s only detriment is that his production sounds almost identical to the last five songs I heard today. There’s little to no differentiation between his sound and his peers. Almost the same could be said for the visuals. The concept itself is nothing more than a group of recycled images that have played out over and over again in a plethora of other videos. But don’t get me wrong, I will say that the editing, shot selection, color, and the lighting were tight and added a zestful aura to the look and feel of the video.
All in all; I like this kid’s music. My advice for swift would be to not be afraid to switch it up. Go against the grain and create imaginative content to match the lyricism. I’d like to hear Swift rhyme on other beats that don’t sound so familiar, because this guy has a remarkable flow. I’m looking forward to more of his releases.
