There’s nothing like a dapper tailor-made garment to set your outfit off and Baltimore emcee, Rome Cee, sews words together like a Singer sewing machine on his latest track and video “Integrity”. The track features his signature technical flow over The Firm’s “Affirmative Action” instrumental. It’s a dope twist on a classic song.
The video is more of an advertisement at best. In it, Rome showcases the craftsmanship and style of seamstress Janeen Brown (SoBiU Clothier) as she stitches together a stylish jacket for the budding emcee. Though the story was somewhat clear, it could have sequenced better. For example, the video should have begun with the transaction between the two characters. This would have established the story from the beginning which would have left plenty of room for the solo shots of Rome. The sewing scenes were nicely done and expose the amount of effort that it takes to create custom fitted clothing.
Rome Cee has continued to put out solid music but has to step up his visual game a bit. It’s going to take more than sewing to and a dope track to keep viewers engaged. However I was still entertained by this video and it’s possible that you will be too. Check it out and enjoy!
