I can honestly say that the new vid from rapper Nile Ross is a bit boring, with not much going on. The music is decent, the beat good, but the visuals of the video just don’t match up with the song. Some more scenes that tie in with the lyrics would greatly improve on the video and would keep the watcher’s attention for a longer period of time.
The main focus of the vid is just Ross standing on a set of bleachers, rapping in front of the camera. This is a tired, overused, monotonous format, straight up. The scenes with the people sitting in a room with a red light don’t make much sense either. They feel out of place with the rest of the visuals. And what does the letters on fire at the end of the video mean?? You end up feeling more confused at the end then you did at the beginning of this boring video. The only good thing to say is that the actual song in pretty good, although Ross’ voice is a little too slow and dull—combine that with the boring video and what’s left is a sleep-inducing vibe to the whole thing. Nile, next time around get the visuals to compliment the audio and you’ll be all set.
