roducer Conn-Shawnery is back with another sizzling LP! His latest composition CS-02-Conduction (Instrumentals and Oddities) is a 15 track collective that combines different types of music, all which bond to create one solid conceptual piece. Shawnery enlists the talents of previous collaborators BluRum13, Wayne Tennant along with Sarah MK and Samantha Shayla Hinds whose vocal and lyrical skills add another layer of rhythmical quality to the album. Together they have produced another solid piece that you will surely enjoy.

Earlier this year Shawnery released the ground breaking CS-01 which introduced us all to his ability to contort sound at will. CS-02 continues the shifting of sound; picking right up where his previous LP left off. Be prepared to keep your head in constant motion as you tune into the head nodding instrumental version of the melodic smash “Shum-Shum”. The kick and snare sequences form to make the perfect musical foundation for the laid-back groove of the song’s main sample loop. The star of the song however is the infectious vocal sample. It’s a bona fide earworm, and I have been singing the words Shum-Shum all day! Shawnery continues to entertain on “Episode One” a relaxed jazzy instrumental that you can sip on your favorite drink and chill to. Shawnery bends and twists a sample of Bob James’ Angela over a bed of hard hitting drums. The first word that comes to mind: smooth. It’s a smooth track that will somehow force you to hit the rewind button over and over again. Rounding out the top tracks on the album is “Shoulder Roll”, a House music track that club DJs need to get their hands on ASAP. Spin this groove and party goers won’t stop moving, trust me! Other great notables are the Reggae/Dub Step inspired “Dub-One”, “Supahera (feat BluRum13)” and “TLO”.

Conn-Shawnery’s follow up LP, CS-02 Conduction, is an energetic and diverse collection of sounds, words and blurbs that you can dance, vibe or chill to. There’s a little something for everyone. The album traverses a number of musical genres; presenting a fresh vibe that is full of life and creativity. Go ahead and cop it, it’ll be 13 bucks well spent.
