os Angeles based rocker Alexx Calise is bursting on the scene with a great sound and talent to spare. With her songs getting over 200,000 hits on Youtube, its only a matter of time before Calise is a force in the music world.

Calise’s newest single “Outta Here Alive” showcases her smooth singing voice. Its a slower song, with good guitars and a classic rock ballad sound. It has a retro 80′s feel to it, from the composition right down to the hair metal guitar solo mid-song. The song “Cry,” recently featured on the Lifetime show Dance Moms, is another slower ballad, with Calise’s singing in a very emotional tone. Its a deep song, with Calise singing about feeling lost and empty and wanting nothing more but to cry. This track is testament to Calise’s adept skills as a lyricist. “Break Me” is a faster song, energetic and loud– just what a rock song should be. Calise’s vocals are on point, and the tune is hard, dark, and memorable. Its reminiscent of an Evanescence song– the hard guitars, catchy tune, and elements of nu metal with the addition of electronic components. This song would do very well on the radio and on the rock charts.
