We're on a World Tour with Muhammad my man! We got a great show lined up for you today featuring music from all around the world. Today we’ll be checking out music fromBadversion, Mighty Mala and Armond.
First up we have a blazing single from London’s rising Pop/R&B artist, Scarlet Baxter. This young lady is the truth, straight up and down! Her latest song, backsliding features fabulous vocals over a scorching beat. With no further ado, here’s Scarlet Baxter with Backsliding, Live in the Lab.
(Scarlet Baxter - Backsliding)
You’re tuned in to Live in the Lab on Amped Sounds dot Com. That was Scarlet Baxter with “Backsliding”. Somebody sign this girl! Ever since I pressed play I have not been able to get this song out of my mind. I love her tone and tenor. Baxter’s luscious voice is spot-on as she delves into relationship issues that we all can relate to. The song’s hook is crazy catchy! The eight bar sequence fits perfectly within the hook, verse, hook nature of the song. I think they might have went a little overkill towards the end with the hook, but it doesn't take away from the fact that this is a hot song. And I mean sizzling! Scarlet, next time give us a little less hook and a little more you! What makes this song so good is it’s beat. The simplicity of the piano riff is what does it for me. That coupled with the airtight percussion and sick bassline all make for a head nodding 3 minutes! I give this song a 4.5 out of 5 stars. It’s a great original piece that has all of the essential elements of a hit single; a sick beat, a catchy hook, and incredible vocals that fall into the groove of the music. You better buy her rookie card now! Cop this song on Amazon.com and head over to scarletbaxter.co.uk for tour dates, videos, and more music.

Live in the Lab, Reviewing all genres, all independent, all the time. Coming to you all the way from Belgrade, this is Badversion with Mephisto on Live in the Lab.
(Badversion - Mephisto)
You’re listening to Live in the Lab on Amped Sounds dot Com. That was Badversion with "Mephisto", one of the many awesome singles off their latest self titled release which is currently ranked within the top 5 for their region. Let’s take a listen to another one of their musical gems. This is Badversion with "Black" on Live in the Lab.
(Badversion - Black)
You’re tuned in to Live in the Lab on Amped Sounds dot Com.That was Badversion with “Black”. These guys are putting Serbia on the map for Alt Rock with their sinister beats and dark, awe inspiring concepts. The vocals are ok. I mean their on par with other vocalists within the genre. But it is the musical presentation which separates BadVersion from the rest of the pack. Each song contains volleys upon volleys of amped up runs, change-ups, and solos that you’ll have no choice but to bang your head to. Overall I give this album a 4 out of five stars. The vocals could have been better, without a doubt. My advice, strengthen up those vocals. That’s what’s going to take this band from a good band in Serbia to a dominant global phenomenon. But beats and the concepts are what kept me tuned in and will do the same for you too. Trust me, you’ll enjoy the experience. Get the EP on their website, badversion dot com. his is Live in the Lab.
Coming up, We’ve got new music from Mighty Mala, and the latest from Armond Wakeup. Keep it right here to Live in the Lab on Amped Sounds dot Com.
Live in the Lab, One Man Gang. When you think of Dancehall does Denmark pop up in your mind? It will after you hear this track. Here’s Mighty Mala featuring Vakili with “Bliv Ved” on Amped Sounds dot Com.
(Mighty Mala - Bliv Ved)
Live in the Lab, One Man Gang, Reviewing all music, all independent , all the time. That was Mighty Mala and Vakili with Bliv Ved. We’re reviewing his latest release, Ud af Danmark, or Out of Danmark for all you English speakers out there. As I always say, a dope song is a dope song no matter the language and Mighty Mala has created a dope collection of songs for the world to enjoy. I can’t front, I was scratching my head trying hard to understand his native tongue, but instead I was consumed by the greatness of this talented musician. His style is a bit unorthodox but it works! Ud af Danmark contains 9 Dancehall tracks that are on point. I must admit, Bliv Ved is probably my favorite jawn, but songs like the hard hitting "Opt i Det Vejr" and "Sulten" are dope in their own right. I give Mighty Mala’s release a solid 3.5 out of 5 stars. The vocals were on par and the beats were on hit! I only wish I were fluent in Danish so that I could get a good grasp of the concepts. Thank goodness for Google Translate! Listen to the album in its entirety on his bandcamp page, mightymala dot bandcamp dot com

Live in the Lab bringing it back home is Armond featuring KamBINO and Taelor Gray with Buck 50 on ampedsounds dot com
(Armond WakeUp - Buck 50)
What? Baaarrrsssss! These guys are true emcees. Intellectual, inspirational and expressive all without having to call a woman out her name or without having to use profanity. All you rappers out there take notes. This is how you spit! We’ve been following Armond ever since he dropped Ketchup back in 2011 and he’s done nothing but get better and better. He brought along two thoroughbred emcees on this track and they all are spitting the raw. Armond kicks things off with a hot 26 bars. He’s followed by Kambino who drops a hot 24 bars of his own. Taylor Gray anchors the song, droppin the best verse of the trio. His cerebral punchlines are phrenetic man. I had to hit that rewind button a few times to get the full effect.
Overall I give this jawn a 4.5. It does the Sepreme Clientele original some justice. These emcees go in on the beat, destroying it with their verbal shrapnel. Ghost, Meth, Red and Cap would be pleased. Check out this and more releases by Armond on armond wake up dot com You can thank me later!
