Pete and the Tiger
Killatrix’s “Supersonic” is a good song with a unique, attention-grabbing video. The UK Electrodirt/Punk/Metal band brings it with a catchy tune and visuals that are different from most videos out there. It keeps your attention throughout. I was impressed with this vid, and was not disappointed!
The band spends the entire video in a mirrored box, with bright lights shining around them. Not much really goes on throughout the vid, but the scenes with the band members dressed in different costumes (gas masks, Indian headdresses, etc) and jumping up and down enthusiastically are just enough action to keep your attention. And the Dance/Rock hybrid music is good– it has a catchy beat with an edge, and lead singer Sin Dii has a good singing voice. The song has a similar sound to Paramore, but with a bit more darker undertone. The only thing that takes getting used to is the band’s use of heavy Goth make-up, tattoos, piercings, and tie-dye colored hair. It takes you back a bit at first, but then you don’t notice it as much as the interesting visuals and catchy tune grabs your attention.

Killatrix is a talented band with great music that is a mash-up of Electro/Punk/Pop/Metal/Dance. The visuals in the video for “Supersonic” are interesting as well– watching the band have fun in a mirrored box room is pretty cool. I enjoyed the vid and am looking forward to what the band comes up with next!
