Jack Freeman is a talented R&B artist from Houston TX that has a lot of talent and potential. His vocal skills and hot beats create good music to listen to while getting ready to go out to the clubs or to set the mood for some post-date action. Freeman is a musician to look out for and will soon make a name for himself in the R&B world.
“Lonely” is a nice, mid-tempo song with a decent beat and pronounced vocals. Freeman’s voice is on-point on this track, and the accompanying piano and back-up vocals compliment his smooth voice quite well. The song is reminiscent of Jamie Foxx, and is very radio friendly. One slight downside is the song’s repetitiveness. About halfway through the song, the listener is left wanting something more from the song– something different with the beat, a break in the tune, anything. But despite this shortcoming, it’s still a notable song to listen to. “Lynnie’s World” is a fast, funky, and upbeat track from Freeman. This danceable feel-good song features grand horns that bring a funky and cool aspect to the track and collaborate well with Freeman’s vocals. “Away” is a slow, romantic melodious offering. The piano is phenomenal on this track, and the emotion in Freeman’s voice is really raw. He sings about falling in love with a woman who is hesitant to get into a relationship with him. He pleads with her to trust him and to let go of any doubts, and the listener can really feel his emotional state through his singing. Though Freeman’s voice is almost stellar, his voice is overpowered by the song’s accompanying instrumentation. If his vocals are the more prominent instrument in the track, the pure emotion of the lyrics would come across more strongly to the listener.
Jack Freeman is young, talented, and ready to take the R&B world by storm. His vocals are tight; his songs are interesting and have great beats and instrumentation. With a little bit more polish, Freeman could be the next big thing on the music charts!
