Dublin based singer/songwriter Donna Dunne is a Blues/Rockabilly artist with a lot of talent. Her song “Woman in Black” is a pure Rockabilly/vintage Rock and Roll song that has a fun video to go along with it. The visuals are not the most exciting, but they go along perfectly with the music. The whole affair has an old school, 1950’s vibe to it, and comes off as very cool.
The vid starts out with a man scanning through a range of radio channels on an old radio, finally settling on Dunne’s song. As the music starts, Dunne herself pulls up in a vintage car and enters a big house that has pictures and figurines of Elvis throughout, finding a hidden room behind the stairs where the music is playing. She jumps right in onto the microphone, and starts singing. The video consists of her singing to the camera, and then cuts away to a few scenes of her walking around outside and then cleaning house– eventually jumping up on the table and playing her broom like a guitar. It’s all in good fun, and Dunne has the look and the sound of an old 50’s Rockabilly singer. Although the visuals are not spectacular and on-the-edge-of-your-seat exciting, it still is an interesting video that keeps your attention.
