[dropcap]C[/dropcap]hester, PA producer Amir Swain is generating a nice buzz for himself with his unique blend of sample-based Hip-Hop and R&B instrumentals. This guy is serious about his craft and it shows in his tunes. His music is created with such zeal and power that it is as if his brain were an instrument, an instrument used solely to create heart stopping instrumentals. His meticulous nature can be heard in every song as each sample sequence is finely tuned and laid out over 16 pads. Swain uses a combination of layered loops, filtered drums and original melodies to form great compositions. My personal favorite is the up-tempo “Marvin in the Mirror”. Hard hitting drums side with a wailing whammy bar melody and select choice voice sample a-la Marvin Gaye and will keep you longing for more well after the track is over. It’s an Amped track, fueled with all of the elements of a bona fide heat seeker. Check him out!
