Imagine running the last quarter mile of a 5k marathon. Your joints begin to ache, your breathing becomes shallow, and your muscular system begins to fatigue at an alarming rate. As muscle failure sets into your body, you think to yourself, “I need a shot of adrenaline to finish strong!” You have asked and now you shall receive. Creo, an Austrian Synth-Rock/Electro-Rock artist, provides a proper dose of musical pleasure on his debut EP appropriately titled “Adrenaline”.
Wien (Vienna to all non-Europeans), Austria’s capital city, is the breeding ground for Creo’s inspiration. The EP’s title track begins with a melodic synth pattern, which is followed by a blaring guitar riff that builds up to the booming drums that start the track. The synths are backed by staccato percussion which marries perfectly with the strings. This instrumentalist provides rapid fire rhythms which is sure to keep club goers bouncing beyond 120 beats per minute. The song features a series of climaxes and descents which keep the track fresh and your body energized.
Creo is only 17 years of age, but his musical talents exceed that of a musician who is decades his senior. This statement holds true on “Heartbeat”, where the electronic boy wonder manhandles synthesized keys and drums with superior dexterity. This well orchestrated instrumental features multiple segment sequences backed by the stellar drum manipulation. This song is reminiscent of music from The Matrix Trilogy; making it a bona fide soundtrack selection.
Adrenaline is packed to the brim with music that is sure to keep the dance floor packed. As you make your final strides of the marathon, inject Creo’s “Adrenaline” into your system. You will feel rejuvenated, as it will give your body the strength to continue. This fast paced EP provides that extra boost that you’ll need to break through the tape at the finish line.
